Our research strengthens the U.S. foundation for innovation, and we help find solutions for not only DOE, but for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the National Nuclear Security Administration, other government agencies, universities and industry. Unlike others, our multidisciplinary scientific teams are brought together to address their problems.
Position Overview
PNNL is recruiting a postdoctoral scientist to improve understanding and modeling of hydrological extremes and the role of land-atmosphere interactions. The successful candidate will perform analysis of observations and design modeling experiments using climate and hydrologic models to elucidate processes that influence the predictability of hydrologic extremes. Working with PNNL scientists, the candidate will also develop diagnostics and metrics to understand and quantify model skill and the impacts of land-atmosphere interactions.
