Participate in work crews to complete the installation of ecological restoration projects and provide stewardship activities. This is an hourly position.
Responsibilities:
Installing plants and seed
Mowing
Cutting and piling brush
Invasive species control
Prescribed burning
Herbicide application
Erosion control activities
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Utilization of hand tools and small machinery including chainsaws, weed whackers and walk-behind mowers
Operation of skid loader and other large machinery a plus.
Native plant identification, herbicide application and participation in controlled burns a plus.
Certifications:
1. State issued driver's license
Physical Demands:
Manual Dexterity: Work requires regular speed and accuracy for most of the working day.
Physical Effort: Work requires considerable heavy muscular effort or exertion, but not continuous or long-standing.
Working Conditions: Exposure to several extremely disagreeable conditions, requiring use of protective articles.
Compensation: Salary range-commensurate upon experience

Introductory period-90 days
Work schedule-40 to 50+ hours per week, weekends, and holidays as jobs demand.
