Dorchester Bay EDC is a non-profit developer of affordable housing and commercial space. As a green developer we are a leader in creating healthy sustainable residential and business environments in this North Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. We are a winner of EPA's coveted Phoenix Award for converting a two acre urban brownfield into a successful industrial building that now houses a printing company with a global market.
We have a two-story warehouse that is located minutes away from expressways and the Mass Turnpike, is close to downtown, a few minutes walk from a bus line and a 15 minute walk from a commuter rail. We plan to create a LEED certified building with tenants involved in producing services or products that will contribute to a healthier sustainable world. One of the building's occupants is a successful training center that works with the area's young people training them in the building trades and specializing in green building techniques.
Dorchester Bay also has a Business Development Program that has helped many developing and established companies with their business plans and financial aid. We have an active Main Street program.
